In the enterprise, repeater stays in the post longer than any individual employee. Continuous work has specific conditions
In Motorola Motorbo Repeaters brochure For DR3000, a one hundred percent continuous mode is indicated at 40 W UHF and 45 W VHF. This is not a universal promise of continuous 50 W for any block of the same name. The range, full index and applicable parameters of the proposed copy are confirmed before the project is agreed.
It is important for the buyer to connect this information with the real task. For example, warehouse dispatch communication can be calm at night and busy during loading. In production, several shifts work sequentially without a general switching off of the node. Such conditions are described together with the desired network mode; the number of employees does not by itself determine the duration of the transmitter.
Workload instead of one maximum figure
Indicate the nature of the most busy period: the frequency and duration of negotiations, the simultaneous operation of services and the planned data transfer. This makes it possible to formulate a check similar to an operation. You do not need to automatically transfer each new group to a separate power calculation: the task here refers to the operating radio node and its actual load.
The choice of power tuning is also related to the agreed radio project. An increase in the indicator on the transmitter does not eliminate improper placement of the antenna, loss of a line or interference with reception. For supply, it is more useful to get a confirmed configuration and understandable conditions for the node than to buy only the maximum possible number of watts without communication with the site.

Heat must be removed from the installation site.
With a long load, not only the DR3000 body is considered, but also the space around it. Where is the cooling air, what is nearby and can the device be serviced? A closed cabinet with other heated equipment is different from an open rack. Transmit the conditions of the room and the proposed layout before choosing an installation solution.
Sizes of gaps and requirements for ventilation are accepted according to the applicable documentation and project. There is no universal fan for any cabinet. The practical result for the buyer is the intended place where the equipment can be operated and maintained, rather than the need to find a cooling method after delivery of the unit.
Power supply and reserve are agreed separately
Motorola describes the built-in power supply DR3000 and connector for an additional external DC reserve. The ability to connect does not mean that the battery and all elements of the backup system are included in the price of the device. If the connection should continue when the main network disappears, this is indicated by an independent requirement for the kit.
Set the expected load and required operating time, then coordinate the battery, maintain its readiness and connection. Autonomy cannot be derived from a single connector on the body. If a reserve is not required, this is also useful information: the quotation will contain exactly the right composition, without the vague general word “uninterrupted”.
Check the entire radio unit
After installation, it is important to receive signals from remote subscribers in the conditions of a working transmitter. Checking the antenna path, interchange and duplexer, if it is provided, perform specialists according to the selected scheme. The performance of the transmitting part separately does not yet show how the assembled node receives messages on the object.
Coordinate the check of the characteristic load and the necessary directions of communication. Save its conditions, equipment composition and results along with the configuration. When you add a service or change the installation location, it will be clear what was checked before. This is more useful than a short demonstration of inclusion without reference to the future operation of the enterprise.
