What kind of work should go on
A remote production site usually has several different tasks: transmit a report, contact a dispatcher, open a corporate service. It is useful to divide them before buying a satellite station. Simultaneous transfer of large files and short voice conversation require different discussion of the channel and the tariff.
Make a list of users and programs, as well as highlight what should work if the ground channel is not available. A two-way radio object solves a local voice problem. They do not replace an external data channel, and a satellite terminal does not replace an operational radio network.
What's in the ground kit
The list in question includes iQ Desktop+, BUC Ku-band 6 W, LNB PLL, 1.8m Type 183 Class III antenna with irradiator, OMT and heating, support and SIP phone. A consistent set of full indices is important: the same words Ku-band do not guarantee the compatibility of all components.
Separately list cable routes, power supply, modem placement and local network connection. The cost of equipment cannot be automatically considered the cost of a finished object with a foundation, installation and configured telephony. The required work must be explicitly included in the quotation.
Installation site and handover
To select a location, you need information about the basis, possible obstacles and access for maintenance. The support from the catalog does not replace the base project. Power supply and heating are considered together with the conditions of the site, without assigning parameters for one reflector diameter.
Assign a local network manager and determine in advance which devices will connect. A SIP phone requires a telephone service or PBX. The presence of the device in the kit does not in itself create a number and the possibility of calls.
Equipment and service are considered separately
The tariff requires the location of the point, the requirements for transmission and reception, the mode of operation and the nature of traffic. Tx/Rx speed and service conditions are confirmed for the selected network. The name of the equipment does not mean that the connection is paid or any unlimited plan is available.
Include the composition of the station, the number of jobs, priority programs, the city and details. So you can compare the quotation on one statement and see what costs are related to equipment, installation and regular payments.
